Born in the USA, team flying appeared in Europe in the early 90s. Still a niche practice today, it delivers incredibly exhilarating sensations.

Much of what can be achieved in Pairs or Team flying is directly tied to the flying qualities of the kite used: its precision, its speed, its window, but also its agility and its wind range.
For the first time since the brand was founded in 1994, designer Ramlal Tien brings you a true Team kite: theAvatar.

This model was developed from specifications built over many years of competition. Chaining corners, straight lines and slides becomes more natural than with any other kite — it is one of the very few designed specifically for that.

Damping with torsional rigidity : wanting the advantages without the drawbacks, the Top Cross coupled with the Spine limits the spine's deformation, keeping optimal volume in the nose and a regular leading-edge profile. The kite's heading and directivity remain constant whatever the wind strength.

Extended wind range : to limit the number of models a team needs, theAvatar has a wind range unmatched until now. A wide-set bridle coupled with flexible, inclined stand-offs automatically and considerably varies the kite's power according to the wind strength. The pilot can also use the 3-position preset bridle to increase or decrease power depending on the day's conditions.

Noise and expressiveness : essential in Team flying, the noise level is set just right — neither too much nor too little. TheAvatar stands out with a slightly high-pitched sound that grows in corners and tight turns. Its fine, taut wingtips are also mounted on dampers, ensuring their responsiveness in flight, as well as their consistency and durability over time.

Every element involved in building theAvatar is made by hand, in matched sets. Five Avatars for a team are thus guaranteed totally identical and require no pairing.

Avatar Lite— optional for recreational flying but essential in competition— the Ultra-Light version of the Avatar features a completely redesigned sail cut:

The Avatar Lite was designed from A to Z for very light conditions: the leading edges are more curved, the sail opening at the center cross has been closed up, and the aspect ratio is lower with less sail depth.
All reinforcements are made of light materials, as are the frame, connectors and bridle.

TheAvatar Lite flies from 2 km/h and can start to be worked at 4 km/h. Its upper range is also an asset — no need to multiply versions — since it remains usable up to 15 km/h.

The damping system is designed for the low range and irregular winds; you can pleasantly feel the kite work in the wind, letting you exploit an immense flight window while keeping a proper line length of about 45 m.
